In the past, members who retired would lose their HKSGOA membership according to Section 10A of our Constitution, and thus lost contact with the HKSGOA. However, members who wish to maintain their ties with HKSGOA can now apply to be an Associate Member of the Association before their retirement, in accordance with Section 10B of our Constitution. Our members continue to receive pension after their retirement, and thus their relationships with the Government are not completely severed. It is very important for them to maintain their ties with the Association, so that they can continue to be informed of the Association's work for the benefits of civil servants (including retired civil servants), and the Association can enlist their support when necessary. The HKSGOA Council would like to invite members who are going to retire to consider becoming our Associate Member after retirement. Members who are going to retire may be busy attending farewell functions and other activities, and may not have time to think about retaining their HKSGOA membership. We therefore enclosed an application form for Associate Member here for interested member to download. Please fill in the form and return to the HKSGOA Office by fax or mail, and you will automatically become an Associate Member after retirement. Please be reminded that the annual subscription for an Associate Member is HK $ 20. |
